Payment disputes

What are disputed transactions?

Almost all transactions on the Givetastic platform are completed successfully, but sometimes things need to be corrected, and you may dispute having made or authorised a transaction.

To help us consider a complaint fairly, we’ll ask you to provide some information. We’ll decide what happened using evidence from you, the bank and any relevant third parties. Depending on the kind of transaction being disputed, you may need to provide additional information related to the disputed transaction.

In reaching a decision, we consider:

  • the relevant law
  • any regulations that applied at the time
  • any industry codes of conduct in force at the time
  • the terms and conditions of the payment processor who collected the payment

A disputed transaction can take up to 2-6 weeks to review and issue a judgment.

If we cannot settle the matter with you directly, you can contact your bank, who will look independently.
